CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Phil Butch went 3-for-4 and Robbie Hine and Kevin Holley each tallied two hits as the Slippery Rock Sliders beat the Chillicothe Paints, 7-3 Wednesday night.

Nick Tracy picked up his first win of the season after pitching seven innings and giving up three earned runs on 10 hits. He struck out two and did not walk a batter.

Jared Simon pitched the final two innings for the Sliders (19-52), striking out three and walking none.

The Sliders entered the top of the third frame with a 1-0 lead, but added four to that total on a grand slam by Bryan Vickers, who ended the game with five RBI.

The Paints dropped to 35-37 with the defeat.

Slippery Rock will open a two-game set in Florence, Ky. tonight.
