Cousins
John Fair and
Dennis Fair have both retired from the Air Force.Master Sgt. John Fair retired in June 2006 after 20 years of active duty. He enlisted in 1986 shortly after graduation from the East Brady High School.The master sergeant served a tour of duty in Iraq during Desert Storm; and during his career, he received many awards for special operations and other high achievements.He is the son of Ruby and Donald Fair of Butler.He currently makes his home in O'Fallon, Ill., with his wife, Mary Anne. They are the parents of a son.He currently is employed as a computer technician.
His cousin, Dennis Fair, also a master sergeant, retired in July of this year as an Air Force security officer.He is a 1982 graduate of East Brady High School and enlisted in April 1983.During his career, he played on the Air Force all-star softball team, did a tour of duty in Iraq, received many awards in special operations, was Security Officer of the Year and received recognition for many additional achievements.He is the son of Ruth Fair of East Brady and the late David Fair.He currently makes his home in Buckhannon, W.Va., with his wife, Donna, and their two sons and currently works for a federal prison.——Navy Seaman <B>Matthew Gilliam</B>, son of Denise and Danny L. Gilliam of Slippery Rock, recently completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.Gilliam is a 2005 graduate of Slippery Rock High School.
