BRADENTON, Fla. — The Pittsburgh Pirates optioned infielder and Pine-Richland High graduate Neil Walker, as well as pitchers Kevin Hart and Chris Jakubauskas, to Triple-A Indianapolis Tuesday.

Hart's departure means rookie Daniel McCutchen will be the Pirates' No. 5 starter.

There now are 37 players, including pitcher Jose Ascanio, who is expected to begin the season on the disabled list, in the Pirates' camp.

Manager John Russell also picked Zach Duke as his starter for opening day April 5, when the Pirates play the Los Angeles Dodgers at PNC Park.
