PENN TWP— The 13th annual West Penn Interclub Junior Tennis Championships will be held Thursday at the Butler Country Club courts.

Six clubs will participate in the event, with each providing a mixed doubles team in 18-and-under and 12-and-under age categories.

Two-time defending champion Oxford Athletic Club of Wexford returns this year. Three Butler County tennis organizations, Butler Junior Tennis Association, Lake Vue Athletic Club of Valencia and host Butler Country Club, join the field as well.

Chapel Gate Swim Club and Forest Hills Swim Club will also be represented.

The mixed doubles teams will compete against each other in a round-robin format. Each mixed doubles pair receives a point for their team with each victory.

Accumulated points by an organization's two teams determine that organization's total score.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to the public.

In the event of rain, Lake Vue Athletic Club will host the event from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
