BUFFALO TWP— Donny Schatz is on a roll in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and at Lernerville Speedway.

Schatz is the hottest Outlawsdriver coming to town tonight as the 16th Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup race takes place at the Sarver track.

Schatz has won the last two Silver Cup races and has seven consecutive top-10 finishes at Lernerville, including a seventh-place showing at the Outlawsevent held here May 13. He leads the Outlaws points standings, is the only driver to finish in the top 10 in every race on the circuit this year and has 10 Outlaws feature wins in his pocket in 2008.

Nine drivers have won the Silver Cup race, which will pay $40,000 to the winner.

Jason Meyers won the May 13 Outlawsrace at Lernerville and has claimed six features in the series this year. Craig Dollansky, who finished second to Schatz in last year's Silver Cup, also has six Outlaws feature wins on the campaign.

Meyers is second in the Outlaws points standings, 129 behind Schatz. Dollansky is third while Joey Saldana is fourth. Saldana owns Lernerville's fast-lap record of 12.334 seconds, setting the mark in May 2002.

Saldana recently claimed his second Outlaws win of the season at Eldora Speedway in Ohio, but he owns just one career win at Lernerville (2005). He is in his third season driving for Kasey Kahne Racing.

Schatz is chasing his third consecutive Outlaws points championship.

Steve Kinser has 16 career feature wins at Lernerville. The King of the Outlaws has won twice on the circuit in 2008 and is fifth in points.

Time trials begin at 7:15 p.m. with racing slated for 8.
