Butler Country Club professional Rob McClellan qualified for the PGA Championship in August by shooting a 69 at the PGA Professional National Championship in Indiana Wednesday.

FRENCH LICK, Ind. — Butler Country Club golf pro Rob McClellan qualified for the 92nd PGA Championship after shooting a 3-under-par 69 Wednesday in the fourth and final round of the PGA Professional National Championship at French Lick Resort.

The effort, highlighted by six birdies, took McClellan to plus-3 for the tournament and tied him for 15th place with five other players.

The top 20 move on to the last major of the 2010 season, the PGA Championship, which will be held Aug. 12 to 15 at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wis.

McClellan could not be reached for comment.
