Williams has 20 assists to lead Jazz over Mavs

SALT LAKE CITY — Two months into the new year, the Utah Jazz still haven't lost a home game in 2008.

The Jazz won their 16th straight at EnergySolutions Arena, rallying with a 16-0 run late in the fourth quarter to beat the Dallas Mavericks 116-110 Monday night.

Utah, which has the best home record in the NBA at 26-3, stayed near the top of the congested Western Conference standings and gave the Mavericks their third loss in four games. Dallas and Utah were tied for the best home record entering Monday's game and once again, the home team won.

The Jazz had to come from behind to do it after blowing a 21-point lead and trailing by three points in the fourth quarter. Utah had only five field goals in the final quarter, but made up for that by going 18-for-18 from the foul line.

Deron Williams had 20 assists and 17 points, Mehmet Okur had 20 points and 12 rebounds and Carlos Boozer scored 28 points for the Jazz.

Josh Howard scored 25 points and Dirk Nowitzki finished with 23 for Dallas, which fell to 4-4 since acquiring Jason Kidd. Kidd finished with 19 points and nine assists, and Jason Terry scored 21 for the Mavericks.

Hornets 100, Knicks 88

At New York, Chris Paul of New Orleans scored 27 points and had a hand in three clutch baskets in the final minutes.

The Hornets got within 1Z\x games of Southwest Division leader San Antonio, which is percentage points ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers for the best record in the Western Conference. New Orleans is third.

76ers 106, Clippers 80

At Los Angeles, Andre Iguodala scored 18 points and five of his teammates also scored in double figures.

Samuel Dalembert had 12 points and 12 rebounds, helping Philadelphia win for the 10th time in 13 games.
