Redding, McNany choose WestminsterFOXBURG — A-C Valley seniors Evan Redding and Lauren McNany will continue their academic and athletic careers at Westminster College.Redding, an all-conference linebacker, will play football for the Titans and major in elementary education or criminal justice.McNany, an all-conference shortstop, will play softball at Westminster. She is undecided on a major.

Night Disc Golf coming to AlamedaNight Disc Golf will be played at 9 p.m. April 30 at Alameda Park. Registration is at 8:30 p.m. at the Masonic Shelter.This will be a night round on a temporary course, next to the Purple Park. The event is open to all skill levels.The $25 sign-up fee includes a Nite Ize night disc golf driver and putter. Rock LB Williams heads to AustraliaSLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University senior linebacker Teven Williams has signed a professional football contract with the North Coast Heat of the National Gridiron League in Australia.Williams will join former SRU teammate and quarterback Dante Nania, who signed with the Heat in early March.Williams led SRU with 97 tackles last season, including 42 solo stops and 19 tackles for loss.

SRU’s Anderson joins PSAC Top 10SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University junior Sabrina Anderson has earned PSAC Winter Top 10 honors for her exploits in the classroom and in athletics.Anderson is carrying a 3.946 grade point average as an exercise science major. She broke the PSAC’s all-time pentathlon record with 3,808 points at the national meet. She placed fifth in the country and was a Division II All-American.Anderson was named PSAC Field Athlete of the Year for indoor track. She won PSAC titles in the pentathlon and 60-meter hurdles.
