A Slippery Rock Township man is accused of stealing a motorcycle.

Harrisville police charged Jeramiah Wade Weaver, 38, Tuesday, Sept. 22, with one felony count each of theft and receiving stolen property following an incident Sunday.

Police said they were monitoring traffic when a registration check for a motorcycle came back as stolen. When Weaver was asked if he stole the motorcycle, police said he admitted to it and said he “hopped on it, turned the key and left.” The motorcycle was reported stolen from Philadelphia Street in Indiana.

Weaver’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
