What is your problem? My question was why new stores are being built, when empty stores are sitting there? Why pave paradise and put up a parking lot?? There are very nice parking lots already in front of the empty stores - why leave them sit and rot and put in new ones? Where are the deer and other wildlife supposed to go? How many stores do we need? If you go over to the mall, you will see it almost empty. Building new stores does not create new shoppers. There is only so much money to go around, so now instead of people spending it over at the mall, they are spending it over in the new stores. If the new stores weren't built, the new businesses could have moved in to the vacant ones over in the mall.

I never said anything about stimulus money or wanting to start my own business. I am an engineer, not a small business owner, and I have no desire to open my own business.

What does one thing have to do with the other? Get a life.
