You can't just build whatever you want on your property. The commissioners are elected to keep the township a desirable place to live. By continuing to build unneeded buildings while others get boarded up does the residents of the township no good. The property has to be zoned for it, and then it has to be approved and building permits issued. These township commissioners are not doing their jobs. They are creating blight and decreasing our property values. If the developer was told no, he would have looked elsewhere. Building new stores does not create new shoppers. More gas stations does not create the need for people to buy more gas. We have enough already!
