Wildlife is protected in this country more than any other. I think there is a limit to the growth of this area. Unless a major job creating industry comes to the area, you probably won't see alot of wooded area cleared. You're talking about a few acres of privately owned land in a prime retail area. The junction of roads makes it a highly traveled and convenient place for retail space. Someone will think of a use for the empty eye sore spaces or maybe they will be demolished and recycled.
