Weissert

Hazel H. Weissert, 86, of Mars died Tuesday morning at Good Sama-ritan Home in Wexford.

Born in Ohio Township in Allegheny County, she was the daughter of Edward Charles and Sarah Margaret Crawford Hohmann.

She was a sales clerk for Raugh's Pharmacy and Mars Drug Store.

She was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church, where she attended Sunday school.

Mrs. Weissert also belonged to the Mars AARP.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George (Patricia A.) Hensel of Mars, Mrs. Ervin (Sandra E.) Higgs of Key West, Fla., and Mrs. James (Joyce A.) Kunkel of Gibsonia; a son, Charles A. (Sandra) Weissert Jr. of Mars; eight grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Weissert, whom she married Sept. 24, 1941, and who died July 15, 1998; two sisters, Jean Shepard and Betty Miller; a brother, Howard Hohmann; and a granddaughter.

Weissert, who died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, </B>238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, with the Rev. Jean Gomola officiating.
