Butler County's great daily newspaper

Wendy,

A no strike bill must be worded carefully. If the right to strike is revoked then stipulations must be made so that the district must have a contract in place within a certain time so it cannot drag on for years. I agree that no one wins in a strike. I agree that it is a terrible situation, but even with multiple work stoppages why is it almost 2 years that SB does not have a contract? Sometimes as a community we have to stand up and tell BOTH sides that this is enough. The teacher's ratified the non binding arbitration last Spring and the school board shut it down. This all could have been over then, let us hope Santa can bring this troubled district some peace with this new arbitration.
