I thought for a while about Edward's post about a tire salesman making more than a teacher. That really doesn't seem right. It also doesn't seem right that a teacher makes more than a police office, and that a football player makes more than the Presdent of the United States.

The police officer risks his life daily, and as we all know by the recent tragedies, they pay a big price. They work 24 hours a day, every day - even more hours on holidays and through all kinds of weather. Teachers on the other hand work 6 hours a day, 180 days a year and if it snows, just pull the covers up and stay in bed. They do have a responsible job, but face it, it is a part time job, and they get paid very well for all the more hours they work.

I know this will make teachers mad, but this is your chosen profession and I'm sure the perks went into your decision. Like many others have said, if you don't like it, move on. There are 10 people behind you who would love that position.
