Laura, your comments to Cass is exactly why teachers in THIS area are not getting the support they want. Arrogance will not get you understanding and you are not in this area or affected by the strikes that go on here. I agree you have a tough job, but to blantly be so rude is not necessary. You sound like a first grader. What a shame to put yourself in the category of some of the arrogance we are witnessing here from our teachers. Not everyone has the gift to teach. It sounds like you are a very gifted and hard working teacher. Unfortunately we can't say that for all of those in this area. Also, not all professions have a strong and wealthy union like the teachers have here that offer many years of health care after retirement. In this area teachers (and politicians) are about the only ones that benefit from such a lengthy perk which is funded by the taxpayer. Walk a mile in someone elses shoes and then make that same comment. I'm very disappointed when I hear a teacher make comments like that because they are doing the same thing here and calling themselves professionals. I don't think true professionals would ever stoop that low. Obviously you and Cass don't agree on this subject, but it's not right to be so rude about it.
