Cass, for someone who states they do not complain about their working conditions, why would you post your working conditions? If you work so long and hard, why do you have so much free time to constantly moan and complain about others on this site? I would bet that if your job disappeared tomorrow, no one outside of your place of employment would really notice or even care. If the field of education disappeared tomorrow, our society would devolve into something akin to rural Afghanistan. Is it really any wonder that so many consider a viable public education system in many third world nations the key to stability?

If you want a healthy society, you need to pay for it. If you want the best to go into and stay in teaching, then you need to pay for it. If you don't want to pay for a strong educational system, then visit some nation that does not pay for one.
