Helen M. Paserba Boese, 84, of Butler Arbors Apartments at 200 Lincoln Ave., formerly of East Butler, died Friday at her home.

Born June 7, 1922, in Butler, she was the daughter of Cassian and Mary Ann Dero Paserba.

A 1941 graduate of Butler High School, she was a homemaker, and had worked as a cashier at Gaylord's Department Store in the Greater Butler Mart.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mothers, and a member since 1990 of the Michigan City, Indiana Vivians, a Ladies Elks Group.

She also served as a foster grandmother volunteer for the Butler County Red Cross Headstart program for five years.

Surviving are her son, Donald J. Paserba of East Butler, two grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Romansky of North Huntington, and Agnes Hoffman of Priceton, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Boese, who died in September 1963; four brothers; and a sister.

Paserba Boese, who died Friday, May 25, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>geibel funeral home, </B>201 E Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
