Frozen falls
Visitors to Niagara Falls State Park on Thursday look over masses of ice formed around the American Falls, photographed from Ontario, Canada, across the Niagara River. The National Weather Service says the newest band of Arctic air could plunge parts of the Mid-Atlantic into deep freezes not felt since the mid-1990s.
