Elsey

Ted N. Elsey, 77, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026.

He was born in Butler on Feb. 13, 1949, the son of the late Voris Elsey and Margaret Bash.

Ted graduated from Butler High School, Class of 1968. He had numerous jobs throughout his life: school janitor in Hawaii, orderly at Sunnyview Nursing Center and maintenance at Family Pathways, where he retired from in 2020.

Ted enjoyed coloring books, bingo and going on trips. He loved his freedom and anything Steelers. Ted was a member of Butler Global Church and Butler County Area Agency on Aging.

Ted is survived by his siblings, Troy Elsey, Earl (Judi) Seiler and Erma Summerville. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to Kathy, Butler Ambulance Service, Butler County Area Agency on Aging and, most importantly, Life Butler, for giving him the freedom to be on his own.

ELSEY — Family and friends of Ted N. Elsey, who died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 23, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
