Cable
Ed,
You are absolutely correct, Armstrong provides poor value and selection. Comcast and other providers give much more bang for the buck especially when it comes to internet speeds.
I was paying Armstrong over $150 a month for cable, phone and internet. I would get so mad every month and wonder why the heck I paid them so much for that garbage.
We love our new magic jack telephone. $20 a year for local and long distance VOIP service is amazing. It has the same pros and cons as Armstrong's 35 bucks a month VOIP. With the exception that you need to leave a computer running for it to work. Saving like 600 bucks a year is worth it though.
We also stream netflix and hulu through our xbox 360 so we canceled the cable also. I wish Armstrong offered a $15 a month for local stations package, but they are too shortsighted for that.
They only get $40 a month from us now.
