AMBRIDGE — The state Department of Public Welfare has cited a personal care home where a resident allegedly raped a 71-year-old female resident.

Maplewood Personal Care Facility has been ordered to create a risk assessment committee with one outside mental health expert to screen its residents, reports the Beaver County Times. Marvin Lee Brown, 51, who has past convictions for indecent and aggravated assault, is awaiting trial on charges he raped the woman in May, about a month after he was moved from a locked facility to the care home.
