The Slippery Rock Community Library is hosting a 5K race and half-mile fun run in October.

The Halloween Hustle will take place Oct. 10 at Cooper’s Lake Event Venue and Campground, 205 Currie Road, Slippery Rock. A half-mile Kids Fun Run will commence at 8:45 a.m., and the 5K will step off at about 9 a.m. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Prizes for costumes will be given before the 5K.

Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for the Fun Run. Both registrations include an event T-shirt if completed prior to Sept. 26. All proceeds benefit Slippery Rock Community Library, an entirely donation-funded community establishment.
