Geraldine F. Wolford, 93, of Karns City and the Whispering Acres Personal Care Home near Chicora died Tuesday morning at the ACMH Hospital, Kittanning, after a short illness.

Born in the Chicora R.D. 1 area, Sept. 29, 1913, she was the daughter of Willis C. and Emma Belle Smith Wolford.

She had been a secretary and worked at Oesterling's Feed Store in Chicora for several years in the 1940s.

She is survived by two sisters-in law, Connie Wolford of Karns City and Grace Wolford of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

<B>WOLFORD </B>— Friends of Geraldine F. Wolford, who died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Wade Burke, pastor of the Bruin Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
