Runners set off Saturday in the Buffalo Creek Half Marathon in Cabot.
It was a clear, warm fall day for the runners gathered Saturday for the Buffalo Creek Half Marathon.
More than 700 runners started the race in Cabot running a course that winds along a path made up of crushed limestone through gentle down hills and slight uphills leading to the end of the race in Freeport.
As most of the race traveled along the Butler-Freeport Community Trail, runners experienced the foliage's changing colors of the season.
Kenny Goodfellow, 30, of Pittsburgh came in first place.The annual Buffalo Creek Half Marathon benefits the Butler Freeport Community Trail in southwest Butler County.
