Isn't that the truth, as soon as you tell them you are shopping around, mysteriously, the price drops. With healthcare, you can't shop around. You have to take what the employer gives you. My healthcare went up 30% this year. There was a news article last week that California's healthcare went up 556% in 10 years. Why? Because you really HAVE to take what they give you, you can't shop around. It's just like gas prices. Mysteriously, when 1 stations' prices go up, they all go up within a couple of hours. That would mean that every single gas station around received a new shipment of gas within 1 hour, so they had to raise the price to reflect what they just paid. It's ridiculous and it's all price fixing, across the board. That's why Washington is swimming with healthcare lobbyists. They don't want things to change, and they'll pay off anyone who will vote against it.
