Otha Raymond 'Ray' Barkley
Otha Raymond "Ray" Barkley, 76, of Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople, formerly of Evans City, died Thursday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.
Born Oct. 26, 1930, in Virginia, he was the son of Eddie K. and Leola Mullenax Barkley.
Mr. Barkley was a fitter at the former J&L Steel Corp.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed guns, hunting, coin collecting and ginseng rooting.
Surviving are two daughters, Rae Elaine Minetti and Wanda Rae Barkley; a son, Timothy Barkley; a brother and a sister-in-law, Loyd and Rose Barkley of Fombell; a sister, Janet Barkley of Rochester; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward K. Barkley; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel Mae "Mick" and Joseph Fox and Lillian Yvonne "Bonnie" and William Criss.
