Donald M. 'Sut' Parson

Donald M. "Sut" Parson, 71, of Prospect died Tuesday at UPMC, Pittsburgh.

Born June 20, 1936, in Portersville, he was the son of Oscar and Mary Bauder Parson.

Mr. Parson retired from the maintenance department of the Butler Eagle. He previously worked in construction and at US Steel in Ellwood City.

He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Parson was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Portersville.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise O'Shea Parson, whom he married Oct. 17, 1960; four sons, Daniel L. Parson Sr. of Portersville, Steve M. Parson of Prospect, Larry L. Parson of Slippery Rock and Ronald J. Parson of Prospect; two daughters, Lisa L. French of Prospect and Elaine M. Skelley of Grove City; two sisters, Mary Katherine Burke of Franklin and Judy Beachem of Slippery Rock; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

<B>PARSON</B> — Friends of Donald M. "Sut" Parson, who died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services</B>, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dana Opp, his church pastor, officiating.
