Fred, when I said I don't care how long teachers work a day I meant it. I brought it up because it's a big issue here in a district where the teachers are permitted to strike period. I do NOT say things I don't mean. My niece is a teacher in Maryland and teaches at an inner city school with many special needs children. I hear lots of things from many different areas so please do not assume that I stated my opinion based solely on the Butler area. I have a lot of respect for teachers and I do expect that in return. My child has made high honors each report period this year in spite of what is happening in our district. I'm very proud of him and he does have some great teachers. He's also had some real stinkers too. Again, this is just my opinion and I REALLY don't care if people disagree with me, but I do want people to understand that I don't lie or say anything I don't mean.
