Investigators suspect two men killed and two others injured Wednesday night in a single-car crash on East Portersville Road in Muddy Creek Township earlier that day attended a drinking party at the home of a friend celebrating his 21st birthday.

State police Thursday obtained a warrant to search the West Old Route 422 home for evidence that alcohol possibly contributed to the fatal crash that killed two Slippery Rock High School students and seriously injured two other people.

While investigating the crash, police learned the four occupants possibly had been at an apartment Wednesday evening drinking during in celebration of the resident's 21st birthday. Police said they confirmed that information with the apartment resident.
