GROVE CITY — Borough police are investigating a robbery Wednesday morning at the Broad Street Market, 327 N. Broad St.

Police were dispatched there for a robbery in progress at 5:05 a.m. It was reported that as the clerk was opening for business a man followed her in the front door and demanded cash, according to a police news release.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black jacket, hooded sweat shirt and a bandanna covering the lower portion of his face.

The suspect demanded cash from the clerk and led her to believe he may have a weapon, however none was shown.

He fled on foot traveling north, the release said. Police did not say if anything was taken.
