Michael “Skinny,” “Mike” Kennedy, 52, of Mars, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026.

He was born in Butler on June 20, 1974, to Frank and Martha (Snyder) Kennedy.

Mike graduated from Knoch High School and furthered his education at Grove City College, then Butler County Community College, and finally at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mike was a controller for Mutual Aid Ambulance Service of Greensburg.

In his younger years, he played soccer for various teams. Mike was a big sports fan; he liked any sport related to Penn State. His favorite teams were Manchester United, the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Yankees.

Mike was known for putting everyone before himself. He would always send positive and uplifting birthday and holiday messages. He enjoyed attending family reunions, loved hard and the love he gave us will live on forever.

Mike was the beloved husband of Jennifer (Hindman) Kennedy, whom he recently married after 20 years together; stepfather of Alex Kornrumpf; brother of Chris (Bonnie) Kennedy and Kelly (Aurn) Noronha; and uncle of Nathan and Katelyn Kennedy, Eli Brown and Joshua and Julia Noronha.

KENNEDY — Family and friends of Michael “Skinny,” “Mike” Kennedy, who died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A closing prayer will immediately follow in the funeral home.

Inurnment and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
