Slippery Rock University’s Early Childhood and Elementary Music Community Engagement Initiative is presenting four free, interactive family music events throughout the 2026–27 academic year.

These events are designed to bring young children and their families to campus to experience music in playful, creative and meaningful ways, said a flyer from the university.

Each event is designed to be an opportunity for families to sing, move, play, explore and make music together. The 2026–27 season includes Sing Move Play: Halloween on Oct. 17; Tuneful Tales: A Treeful of Monkeys on Nov. 21; Sing Move Play: Valentine’s Day on Feb. 13; and Tuneful Tales: The Tortoise and the Hare on April 24.

Each event takes place at 10 a.m. at the Swope Music Building, 101 Central Loop in Slippery Rock, and are free to attend.
