Crews respond to camper fire in Jefferson Township
Five fire departments were dispatched just before 11 p.m. Thursday to a fire at a camper at 114 Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township.
According to Butler County Emergency Services dispatch reports, firefighters arrived at 11:05 p.m. and found a working fire. Crews reported the fire was knocked down at 11:11 p.m.
Dave Rennick, assistant chief of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company, said the fire was contained to the front half of the 30-foot camper, and no one was injured in the fire. Firefighters cleared the scene at 1:30 a.m. Friday, he said.
He said the state police fire marshal is investigating the cause.
Responding to the fire were the Herman Volunteer Fire Company, East Butler Volunteer Fire Department and the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company.
