Knoechel

Erma D. Knoechel, 86, of Carlsbad, Calif., formerly of Zelienople, died Thursday at her home.

Born March 10, 1921, in Harmony, she was the daughter of John R. and Dora Scheidemantle Druschel.

Mrs. Knoechel was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Zelienople.

In her earlier days, she was an avid refunder who made contact with many people trading coupons. Most recently she enjoyed baking cookies and delivering them to family members for special occasions. She also enjoyed cooking, flowers and serving others.

She is survived by a son, four daughters, a brother, three sisters, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin J. Knoechel, who died April 18, 2001; a brother, and two sisters.
