Vivian L.Bryan

Vivian L. Bryan, 86, of Prospect died Monday at Sunnyview Home after an illness.

She was born on April 15, 1921, in Waynesburg, the daughter of Herman and Emily Ruth Piper Martin.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect and the Prospect Community Women's Club, where she was among the women who established the Prospect Community Library and the tennis courts in Prospect. She also was a member of the former 20th Century Club of Prospect.

She is survived by two daughters, Dru Bryan of Prospect and Bonnie West of Cleveland; a son, Zane Bryan of Cody, Wyo.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Michael (Thelma) Homyk of Aliquippa, and two brothers, Charles Gary Martin of Prospect and Gene Martin of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Bryan, with whom she had operated The Jay Bryan Funeral Home. They were married on Sept. 17, 1941. He died Feb. 3, 1999. A brother also preceded her in death.

<B>BRYAN</B> — Visitation for Vivian L. Bryan, who died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home</B>, 443 Main St., Prospect. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at The Presbyterian Church of Prospect with The Rev. Robert Allison officiating. Burial will be in The Crown Hill Cemetery in Prospect.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prospect Community Library Endowment Fund.
