Veda C. Giancola

Veda C. Giancola, 77, of Zelienople died Thursday at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born Feb. 26, 1930, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of Andrew C. and Agnes Miller.

Mrs. Giancola retired as a secretary for U.S. Steel. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Giancola, whom she married Sept. 1, 1953; a daughter, Joni L. Pelland and her husband, Greg, of Waterford, Mich.; and two sons, Andrew C. Giancola and his wife, Peg, of Alexandria, Va., and John A. "Jack" Giancola Jr. and his wife, Denise, of Sarver. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Matthew Joseph and Catherine Grace Pelland and Maria Elizabeth and Olivia Catherine Giancola.

<B>GIANCOLA</B> — Friends of Veda C. Giancola, who died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the<B> Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Zelienople Area Public Library, 227 S.
