Glenn D. Dimit

Glenn D. Dimit, 77, formerly of Brewster Road, died Monday at the Autumn Grove Nursing Center, Harrisville.

Born March 29, 1930, in Center Township, he was the son of Raymond M. Dimit and Bernice M. Patten.

Mr. Dimit retired from the melt shop at Armco-Butler Works.

He was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Dimit was an Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was a life member of VFW Post 249.

Surviving are a son and his wife, Scott and Sandy Dimit of Butler; a daughter, Lori J. Cockroft of Fayetteville; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

His wife, Georgia Lou Cassel Dimit, died Dec. 12, 1972. He also was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

<B>DIMIT</B> — Friends of Glenn D. Dimit, who died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Bupp, pastor of Grace @ Calvary Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery.Members of the VFW Post 249 and the American Legion Post 778 will hold military honors at the cemetery.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
