If a school board is being totally unreasonable, then the teachers should leave and go to work elsewhere. If enough of the teachers do that, then the board will be forced to stop being unreasonable. If the board will not stop being unreasonable, then they will be voted out by the people who hired them.

It's actually a pretty simple scenario, one that the people who pay the taxes that pay the teachers deal with every day. If i feel my employer is being unreasonable, i am free to find an employer who is not. What's so bad about that?
