There'd be nothing wrong with that, except that if a school board is unreasonable, it's the children in the community that suffer.

If, as you said, teachers start migrating out of a district with low pay and poor respect for their work, as we've seen in South Butler already, then it's our children who are ultimately footing the bill.

Worse still, there typically aren't many options for voters in school board elections - even if they wanted to kick out unreasonable members. It's often the case, especially in rural districts, that there won't be enough people running to fill the seats on a school board.
