Alice B. Sarvey, 83, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026.

She was born in Pittsburgh on May 22, 1943, the daughter of the late Charles Grounds II and Agnes Ciz.

Alice was known for being loving, kind, generous, strong-willed and faithful. She loved to cook and decorate cakes. Alice enjoyed going on road trips, gardening, painting ceramics and crocheting.

Alice was the beloved wife of the late Silas Sarvey, whom she married May 21, 1959; mother of Brenda L. (John) Wallace and Christine L. (Robert) Young; sister of Charles Grounds III; grandmother of Amanda Whipkey, Lisa (Barry) Morrison, Faith (Michael) Tebay, John Wallace, Tyler (Brittany) Young, Allison (Cody) Bates, and Kelly and Jennifer Sarvey; and great-grandmother of 15.

Along with her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by her son, Carl (Rhonda) Wayne; her sister, Marylou McClimans; and her son-in-law, John.

SARVEY — Family and friends of Alice B. Sarvey, who died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
