SV Intermediate High being searched for bomb
Students at the Seneca Valley Intermediate High School were moved to the senior high school, which are both on the same campus, this morning while police continued to search the intermediate high school for a bomb.
According to a school district statement, police decided to lock down the campus, with two school buses blocking the entrance to the campus, after a student reported seeing a bomb threat written in a boys' restroom.
No such written threat was found, but police conducted an initial search anyway. They later had students relocated so police could conduct a more thorough search.
The district statement said metal detectors were used at the intermediate high school, but nothing unusual was found during the search.
Access to the campus is being restricted until police finish their search.
