8 homeless after funeral home fire near Pittsburgh
WEST ELIZABETH — The American Red Cross is assisting eight people left homeless early this morning after a fire at a funeral home near Pittsburgh.
Flames were spotted at the S.M. Finney Funeral Home in West Elizabeth just before 1 a.m. An Allegheny County fire marshal is trying to determine what started the blaze.
The funeral home is housed in a three-story brick building, which has apartments. The fire burned out of control for more than two hours.
None of those who lived in the building were hurt.
