Read these charts. It is pretty obvious the richest Americans do not pay their fair share of taxes based on their wealth and our country is quickly becoming a third world nation in terms of wealth distribution.
The middle class is disintegrating as we know it due to right wing tax policies which favor the wealthy.
Kevin, you leave out in your statistics is that the rich in this country actually pay taxes at a level below their wealth.
It was during Reagan's presidencies in which the rich got richer and the poor got poorer, the rich began to work less for their wealth and the poor had to work harder for less.
And Reagan even admitted his biggest economic mistake was the explosion of the national debt during his Presidency.
Kevin, sounds like you have been brainwashed into thinking what is good for the richest Americans is always good for every American. That is wrong.

Why should the poor be punished for working hard and the rich be rewarded simply for being rich?
