PITTSBURGH — A former Pittsburgh state prison guard must serve 12 years on probation, and the first year on house arrest, for abusing inmates and attacking a fellow guard who testified against him.

Tory Kelly, 41, of Aliquippa, was sentenced Monday by the same Allegheny County judge who found him guilty of abusing the inmates —mostly those who were gay or serving child-sex offenses — at the century-old lockup once known as Western Pen.

FINLEYVILLE — A 17-year-old woman is facing juvenile charges after she allegedly put her friend’s cell phone number in a fake Craigslist sex ad.The unidentified woman is being charged with unlawful communication with minors, harassment, and other charges.Authorities say the woman whose cell number was listed suddenly started receiving calls and text messages from men seeking sex, unaware that she was a juvenile.
