On July 20, at 5:15 at the intersection of Herman and Bonniebrook road my car broke down. I was going to drop off my son and his friend at a hunters saftey course. The transmission went in my car,and half way through the stop sign my car died. I was in a panic, but i thought, hey i'm so close to home things will be OK. After i put my 4ways on and went to open my hood i thought someone will stop to help now. After numerous people gave me the finger and hand gestures, i was in tears. After about 10 minutes my knight in shining armor stopped. He was just a guy on his way home, in a company truck. He asked what was wrong and helped get my car off the road. I didn't get his name or the co. he worked for, but i'm so thankful that he stopped. All i remember is he had a white shirt on and red hair. There were at least 40 cars that went past, my so called neighbors and none of them took the time to stop. In my 30 or so years my husband and i have stopped several times to help or at least ask if someone needed assistance. I just hope that if it was your sister, mom or daughter that you would take the time to ask. In a time when the world is crazy, where is human compassion.Thank you again the man in the white truck, your my hero. And if you happen to come upon someone broke down be careful but ask if you can help and you can be a hero.
