I disagree with you there. I think an additional 2% on what we pay taxes on now would be more fair. That way, nobody can say the poor will be hurt because there is no sales tax on food or clothes. If they would get rid of real estate taxes, the problem with underfunded schools in poor regions would be solved, as well. Making rural communities pay for Philly and Pittsburgh's transit systems is also ridiculous. The transit system should be run like any business and they should be forced to live within their means.
