Two Butler County residents are among the 104 new troopers who are part of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy's 155th graduating cadet class.

The graduation ceremony was recently held at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Harrisburg, marking the culmination of 27 weeks of classroom and physical training.

The new troopers include Sean J. Gercken and Douglas P. Orloski Jr., both of Butler County. Both have been assigned to Butler-based Troop D.

Gercken will be stationed at the Butler barracks and Orloski will be at the New Castle station.

Phillip P. Schneider of Allegheny County is another new trooper assigned to the Butler barracks.
