The snow continues.

With a winter weather advisory going into effect throughout much of the state, forecasters expect Butler to add several more inches to the snow that remains from the two storms that hit last week.

The winter weather advisory, effective at 10 a.m. today, continues until 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh is forecasting the snow to begin to fall this afternoon with accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. Snow will continue to fall tonight and an additional 3 to 5 inches is expected.

Another 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected before the storm ends Tuesday.

Because of the forecast, the Butler School Board meeting for tonight has been changed to 7:30 p.m. next Monday.
