Peoples Natural Gas will began its latest infrastructure modernization project in Butler Township Thursday, Sept. 3.

According to a news release, crews will install 2,163 feet of new mainline along South Benbrook Road in Butler Township. Work will primarily take place in the southbound lane between Greenwood Drive and Laurel Oak Lane.

Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for about 20 working days. Traffic control measures, including lane restrictions, will be in place on South Benbrook Road during working hours.

Peoples intends to schedule a restoration of affected streets, sidewalks and landscapes to prior condition after construction is complete, according to the release.
